Beginner’s Yoga and Mindfulness 6 Week Course

— About the Course —
Learn the foundations of yoga and mindfulness with this 6 beginner’s week course led by Katie.
This course is open to complete newbies and more seasoned yogis wanting to revisit yoga alignment basics and explore weaving mindfulness into their practice 🙂
Over the 6 weeks you will improve strength and flexibility in your body through learning how to safely practice a range of yoga postures and adapt them to suit your body. Each week is focused on a family of poses: sun salutation warms ups, standing postures, hip opening, backbends and twists and inversions.
You will also be introduced to powerful mindfulness meditation techniques for calming the mind and reducing stress. Each week will also be focused on an attitude of mindfulness such as trust, compassion, gratitude and letting go.
Each week you will be given a little bit of homework in the form of a guided video movement practice and a meditation recording to help support starting a home practice between classes.

— About your teacher —
Katie is a Yoga Teacher based in Newquay, Cornwall. She has been practicing Yoga since she was 14 and has been meditating for 5 years. She completed her 200hr Vinyasa Yoga teaching certificate with Julia McCabe and Sarah Zandbeek 2016, 40hrs Level 2 Restorative Yoga Training with Amanda Brown 2018, 50hrs Level 2 Vinyasa Training with Keren Cooksey 2019, in August will be studying Yin Yoga Teacher Training and begins a 3 year Masters Degree in Mindfulness Based Approaches in October 2019 at Bangor University and continues to practice regularly with senior teachers.
